ABOUT

Kelly McLaughlin Msc, HCPC, CSP
Chartered Physiotherapist
I gained my first degree at Glasgow University in Physiology, Sports Science & Nutrition and went on to complete my Physiotherapy training at Glasgow Caledonian University, qualifying in January 2009.
In my early career I had extensive experience working in football as part of the medical team at a leading Scottish Premier League football club, at National level with the Scottish Women’s team with whom I travelled throughout Europe.
I have also completed a number of endurance events for charity over the years, including a cycle of over 300 miles from London to Paris, which I feel, gives me both expert and personal knowledge of what is necessary to participate at an exceptionally high sporting standard.
I have worked in private Physiotherapy Practice for over 10 years, developing strong interests in hip rehabilitation, neck pain, chronic low back pain, running/cycling injuries and Pilates. I have strong clinical reasoning skills that are complemented with additional training in acupuncture, advanced massage and manual therapy. I will provide a professional injury management programme to include postural care, core stabilising and preventative therapy to target the underlying cause of your pain and prevent future reoccurrence.
I am passionate about providing every single patient with the best treatment possible. I continually develop my physiotherapy skills in order to keep up to date with the most recent evidence based practice to ensure that this is the underlying ethos and experience for all my patients at Blackheath Physiotherapy
Rehabilitation is to show a patient what they can do for themselves
