What is Pilates?


Pilates is based on a set of principles which exercise the whole body using mat and equipment based exercises.  Pilates combines the co-ordination of deep postural and stability muscles, breathing and arm & leg movements with postural correction, suppleness and flexibility. Evidence shows Pilates can help to reduce your likelihood of injury and is particular effective for those with lower back pain.

Our classes

Physio-led Pilates means the class is taken by a Chartered Physiotherapist who has experience in helping to manage any painful condition or injury thus, allowing you to feel safe in fully qualified hands. The small class size will ensure the exercises are tailored to your level of ability. All clients will be assessed before and after a block of classes to analyse the improvements.

Our 1:1 Pilates sessions

Are for those looking for a more tailored experience or for those looking to begin, build or reignite their Pilates practice. These sessions can be done in the comfort of your own home or in the clinic

  • It allows attention to be focused on the particular aspects and principles of Pilates which will benefit and enhance your health, your enjoyment of, and your performance in sport, whether you’re a runner, cyclist, golfer or walker.

  • Having established the fundamentals of Pilates during 1;1 sessions, many clients are more confident joining a small group class, and can use their experience to get maximum benefit from the class
